Christine and I had a chance to visit New York City and Ground Zero from October 9th through the 14th, 2001.
This started with a business trip to Albany New York.
We then drove down to Brooklyn to visit Christine's daughter Deirdre.
Deirdre has recently joined the US Army Reserves and has been assigned to a BioChemical unit.
After a day touring the carnage in Manhatten, we headed up to Carmel NY to visit her brother Ray Gort and his family.
We then drove back to Albany via a tour of the fall foliage in New England.
We hope you enjoy the pictures.
As a result of this trip, I was moved to put together a short history of the conflict from my eyes.
This is a Powerpoint slide show that superficially covers about 4000 years of conflict in the Middle East.
In addition, I have included some of the more interesting multimedia files and web links I encountered in my research.
